What makes this number go up or down

  • Number of conversations. Double the chats and the AI cost roughly doubles, because there is no fixed monthly fee to spread.
  • Length of each chat. Every reply re-reads the conversation so far, so a twenty-message chat costs far more than a four-message one.
  • How much background information travels with each message. Trimming the catalogue, policies and order history you attach is the single biggest saving available.
  • The Hostinger KVM 2 plan price, since promo and renewal rates differ.
  • Model choice. You are on Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite. A bigger model reads nuance better but costs more per word, so keep a lite model for routine support and escalate only the hard cases.

Compliance and one-time costs

  • You need a Meta WhatsApp Business account with a verified business and an approved display name before you can message customers.
  • Message templates for anything you start (offers, reminders, updates) need Meta's approval in advance. Replies inside a customer-initiated service window have historically been free of Meta charges, but Meta is phasing that out during 2026, so confirm the current rate card before launch.
  • Meta's platform charges are excluded from this calculator, as agreed, and are billed to you separately per template message sent.
  • You must offer an opt-out, and store chat transcripts in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act if you keep customer data.
